I knew from a young age that I would pursue a career in medicine. I grew up with a lovely Grandma who instilled in me the notion that the body will heal itself if you remove its obstacles and give it the right tools. I eventually stumbled across Naturopathic Medicine as an option that would afford me the opportunity to blend my love of the health sciences, passion for problem solving, and the joy I derive from helping make things better for those who are suffering. I love getting people back to doing what they’re here to do.
Tiffany was born in Kamloops and raised in North Vancouver. She has a daughter and two dogs. She moved to the Okanagan in 2016. Tiffany graduated from RMT 3000 hour program in Kelowna in 2018. She uses a variety of techniques including myofascial release, Swedish massage, deep tissue and is certified in Soft Tissue Release and Graston Technique. She takes great pride in helping her clients create freedom to move.
Sarah began practicing yoga in 2005 and was instantly hooked. She primarily practiced Bikram yoga for years before moving to Summerland in 2014 with her husband and 2 kids. Shortly after moving to the Okanagan, she returned to St. Albert, Alberta to take her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Vikara Yoga Academy.
Born in Edmonton, raised in Port Coquitlam, Denise always knew she wanted to work helping others. Growing up skiing in the winter with her family and dancing year round, along with softball and volleyball bumps and bruises, strains and sprains were a part of her life, so the medical field made sense and became her career choice. After graduating from high school, Denise took her Medical Office Assistant certification and then started working in Vancouver. She worked at a medical office near St. Paul’s Hospital as well as for several physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists. She was even involved in designing and operating a wellness clinic in Kitsilano. In 2010, Denise also became a paramedic. Denise moved to the Okanagan seven years ago to be closer to family and to enjoy the beautiful weather. She is excited to use her experience as Summerland Physiotherapy’s office manager.
Vivian has called the Okanagan home for several decades. After a brief stint in nursing, she took time to raise her two boys with her husband. She worked in several medical offices as a Medica Office Assistant. Vivian enjoys snowshoeing and hiking with her neighbours, and will brave another winter or two of alpine skiing with her husband, every Sunday afternoon followed by a mocha!
Emilee grew up in BC where she discovered a passion for human anatomy and active recovery through her own injury experiences in competitive sports, such as hockey. She decided to pursue a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, but after working for a few years, decided she wanted to take her practice further, and went to school for a Diploma of Massage Therapy where she received Honors with Distinction. Now, as a dual practitioner, Emilee is able to combine her knowledge from both education backgrounds to develop a recovery plan for her patients. Emilee has a desire to see patients learn to move confidently and aid in injury rehabilitation with the help of active recovery applied to biomechanical and functional goals. She is also a firm believer in allowing the body to move in order to heal. In a massage with Emilee, you can expect to be moving throughout the whole session, so bring shorts, a T-shirt, and a desire to move well!
